Needlings’ creator, Heather Saunders, is a Canadian fibre artist, illustrator, and writer working out of her home studio in Hamilton, Ontario.

Inspired by vintage storybooks, folk art, nature and whimsy, Heather works primarily in felt, watercolours and loose threads to create handcrafted plush characters, and illustrated pieces that are thoughtfully designed and meticulously made by hand.

Featured at One of a Kind Show Toronto, Kid Icarus Toronto and other small retailers throughout the US and Canada since Needlings’ inception in 2007, Heather’s work is currently available online at needlings.etsy.com or through custom commission via contact at heather@needlings.ca.
